- JP is a former NHL
Trainer thus far with 16 years of experience in Pro
Hockey such teams as the Washington Capitals (NHL),
Philadelphia Flyers (NHL), New Jersey Devils (NHL),
Baltimore Skip Jacks (AHL), Chesapeake Ice Breakers
(ECHL)
- JP worked with
such coaches and GM's as: Herb Brooks (1980 USA
Olympic team), David Pouile (Nashville, Washington
- NHL), Dick Patrick (Washington - NHL), Lou
Lamarillo (New Jersey - NHL), Terry Murray
(Philadelphia - NHL), Brian Murray (Ottawa - NHL),

JP has brought hockey teams to Europe for many years
- JP is a former
hockey player himself
J.P. grew up in a
hockey family. His Father is a former Pro Player in the old
Eastern Hockey League with the Washington Lions at the Old
Uline Arena in Washington D.C. JP's father was the head NHL
off-ice officials for the Washington Capitals from the start
of their existence and retired in late 90's. His mother and
father met at the Uline Arena for the first time, and the
Mattingly family made their home in Maryland.
